The Access Foundation is pleased to support The Spectrum Space CIC, an employee-nominated charity working to create a new community space in Shrewsbury. 

The charity is establishing its first permanent venue, offering a welcoming place where people can connect through gaming, creative activities and community-led sessions. Designed to feel accessible and low-pressure, the space will give people the chance to take part in a way that feels comfortable for them.  

The grant will help The Spectrum Space CIC create a consistent local hub that supports wellbeing, reduces isolation and helps people build confidence through shared interests. It will also give local organisations and services a place to engage with people in a setting where they already feel at ease.  

This support was made possible through The Access Foundation's employee-nominated giving, which enables Access Group employees to put forward causes they care about. In this case, that nomination is helping bring a valuable community resource closer to reality. 

As The Spectrum Space CIC shared, the grant is not only about funding, but about recognising "that spaces like this matter."
