The Access Foundation has awarded them funding to provide iPads for students and therapists. This gives children new ways to engage with their learning and helps nonverbal students communicate. For many of these children and young people, communication can be challenging. Access to the latest technology can help. The devices will not only be used by the children, but also the therapists who work with them.
Les Burgess, Director of Hope Academy says, These iPads allow our students to access valuable educational tools that enhance learning, collaboration, and independence.
Project Hope Foundation was founded in 1997 by two mums looking to support their children. It now serves people with autism from early childhood through to adulthood. They also support these children’s families. Their work centres on creating safe, supportive spaces where every child is encouraged to express themselves and learn.
