Andrew Forster – Volunteer Ambassador

After a fulfilling 10-year career at The Access Group, I retired in 2024. Like many who transition from a fast-paced leadership role, I found retirement challenging. But through volunteering with The Access Foundation, I've discovered a new sense of purpose and connection. 

My partner volunteers for a well-known charity, and I've seen firsthand the meaningful impact one person can make, and I've watched a close friend set up a charity and work tirelessly for the last 10 years on raising funds and giving back. 

I've long supported various charities, but now I'm proud to deepen my involvement with The Access Foundation—a cause born from the success of The Access Group, where I spent some of my most enjoyable professional years.  

The Foundation's mission to close the digital divide resonates deeply with me, bridging my past in technology with my present role as an Ambassador. 

Volunteering here has not only helped me find balance in retirement (there's only so much golf you can play!) but has also allowed me to channel my time and energy into something truly meaningful.  

I believe even a small contribution can make a big difference—especially when it helps others access the tools and opportunities that technology can provide.
