Kashvi Sharma – Social Media and Copywriting Assistant

Through my role as a Social Media and Copywriting Assistant, I help tell the stories behind the Foundation's work and the charities it supports. I'm grateful to be part of a team that is passionate about supporting charities creating real change in their communities. Since day one, I've been given the creative freedom to experiment and bring my ideas and vision for storytelling to the Foundation. 

What I enjoy most about storytelling is its ability to create understanding.

Behind every grant and project is a person whose life may have been transformed. Sharing those stories helps put a human face to the challenges people experience and the impact that support can have. Good storytelling has the power to spark conversations and help people see beyond their own experiences, which I find incredibly rewarding. 

One question I've always found difficult to answer is, "Where are you from?" 

I was born in India, grew up in Dubai, and moved to the UK for university. India has always been a huge part of my life and identity, and I visit every year, but I spent my childhood and teenage years in Dubai before making the move to Birmingham to study BSc Human Resources and Business Management at Aston University. 

Having roots in one place, growing up in another, and building a life in a third has given me the chance to experience different cultures and ways of thinking. It's taught me to adapt quickly, embrace change, and appreciate different perspectives. Those experiences have shaped much of who I am today and sparked a genuine curiosity about people and their stories. 

I've always been drawn to opportunities that bring people together.

During my time at university, I've taken on roles in mentoring, events, marketing, and content creation, often balancing several projects at once. Some of my favourite experiences have come from building communities and creating experiences that make people feel welcomed and connected. 

Joining The Access Foundation felt like a natural fit. I was drawn to the opportunity to combine creativity with purpose and contribute to work that has a meaningful impact.
