Grant Helps Aphasia Support Reach More Stroke Survivors

Aphasia Support is a charity helping people rebuild their ability to communicate after a stroke or brain injury. Five adults sitting around a table together

This charity provides home-based 1to1 support for people with aphasia and also friendly online “Aphasia Cafés” where people can feel understood, encouraged and supported in their recovery.

But not only do they support people with aphasia and reduce social isolation, they also look to improve the knowledge and skills of carers and volunteers, in supporting people with aphasia.

The Access Foundation is proud to support organisations that make a real difference in people’s lives. With our recent grant, they will provide iPads loaded with specialist speech therapy apps, giving people the tools to speak, stay connected, and regain independence at home.

This money will mean we can update our stock of iPads and reach more people with aphasia who are in need of our charity’s support.
