Bikers deliver vital fluids and samples across Warwickshire and Solihull

Warwickshire & Solihull Blood Bikes operate a 24-hour, 365-day-a-year service, delivering vital medical items between hospitals across the region. From blood and medication to samples, breast milk and essential medical equipment. Their volunteer riders make sure these items arrive quickly and safely. They also operate at times when no other transport is available.

The charity is run entirely by trained volunteers who give their time to support patients and the NHS. By providing this service at no cost, they help hospitals respond faster and significantly reduce transport costs.  

Thanks to a nomination from an Access Group employee, we have provided funding towards a new motorbike for the charity’s fleet.  A single bike can travel thousands of miles annually and support the care of thousands of patients along the way.
