The Access Foundation is proud to support Tempus Novo, a Yorkshire-based charity helping ex-offenders rebuild their lives through meaningful employment.

Founded by two former prison officers, the organisation has become a national success story, proving that with the right support, change is possible.

With a grant of £5,000, The Access Foundation will help Tempus Novo provide one-to-one guidance for ex-offenders preparing for job interviews. This includes support with literacy, CV writing, and transport — small but vital steps that help individuals overcome barriers to work. Each year, the charity places people into jobs with employers who believe in second chances, from major logistics firms to national retailers.

Tempus Novo’s results are nothing short of remarkable. Since its founding, the charity has supported over 1,300 ex-offenders into employment — with just 3% reoffending, compared to the national average of 60%. Behind these statistics are stories of transformation: people who were once trapped in cycles of poverty and crime now gaining stability, pride, and purpose.

As Chair of the Trustee Board, George Grant, explains, “Supporting offenders into employment not only changes their lives — it strengthens families, communities, and society as a whole.”
